‘The cry we hear from deep in our hearts comes from the wounded child within. Healing this inner child's pain is the key to transforming anger, sadness, grief and pain'. -Thich Nhat Hanh

It is only through healing all parts of ourselves that we can become transformed
to live more fully in the present with a deeper connection to our authentic self.

Working with the Inner child is a powerful method for healing developmental trauma,
which is essentially old wounds from childhood that can lead to psychological
turbulence, dysfunctional relationships and self-sabotaging behaviours.

The inner child exists, as not a literal or physical child instead is a metaphorical child. The Inner Child reflects the child we once were, in both its positive and negative aspects,
including the part of our psyche that holds our unmet needs and suppressed childhood emotions. In it's positive aspect, it is the source of our playfulness, curiosity, imagination, and sense of wonder.

Carl Jung a leading psychotherapist of his time is said to originate the term
‘inner child with the ‘divine child’ archetype. Meaning that the ‘inner child’
remains with us, as part of our consciousness which influences how we perceive
our inner world and how we interact in our outer world. When we carry unhealed wounds from our childhood we are very likely to be acting out these wounds in adulthood and our present-day lives.
